“Tony. Certainly.” Once his hand was in hers, she tapped his wrist, sending a small golden pulse beneath his skin. Nothing permanent, it merely gained some information for her. Painless.

“Fame is something I’ve sadly lost. Once upon a time I couldn’t come down to Midgard because I would be so swamped with worshippers. And then of course when I could come down, they had forgotten me. Hurt my feelings somewhat.”

Smirking, Amora nodded. “Aye, that’s the thing. You’re interesting, you must know that. I’m just expressing my interest. Am I not allowed to want friends?”

Tony noticed the light tap on his wrist and for a moment wondered if she like Loki was into all kinds of crazy magic and what-not but he didn’t question it further, it was probably nothing and just a tap of the wrist or twitch of the finger. It wasn’t as if he didn’t have his own.

“Sadly lost? I’m not sure losing fame would be such a bad thing I’m honest, sometimes it can get tedious.” He smiled whilst the corner of his mouth curved into a soft smirk, one the Billionaire often wore as if it was permanent. “If you want we could swap for a bit, I could do with some piece of quiet, I’m not sure how you’d feel about thousands of adoring women but there are some men in there to so you know.” He shrugged.

“I’m interesting sure, but it depends on what part of me interests you? I’ve got many different sides, they aren’t all good I’m sure you know that…well, obviously.”

“Not for a goddess. The more attention I have, the more power I have. It doesn’t affect it all that much, but the offerings certainly did help.” Amora shook her head slowly, a soft smile on her face.

“I don’t mind. Screaming girls sounds wonderful.” As she spoke, her whole body twisted and grew, shifting like liquid until Amora was in her male form. “I’m not fussed either way. Sex is sex, as long as they know what they’re doing, I can be whatever they want me to be. I could even be you, if I wanted.” Chuckling, she slipped back into her normal looks.

“Everybody has their good and bad points. I was quite interested in your work, if I may admit. I wondered… Has Thor spoken to you about the Bifrost? I wondered if it was possible to recreate it with science you bring, and a touch of my magic… It would mean working together.”

“I am sorry for whatever he did to you. That big oaf is nothing but a pain.” Loki looked at their hands and smiled. “I have truly missed you Amora. My life was dull without someone to help fuel my mischief.”

“So you’re not really sorry.” She dropped his hands and stuck her tongue out at him. “Seeing as his idiocy brought me back here. I’m not here to talk about what happened between myself and The Thunder, it’s just over. Can we get on with said mischief? Hey…” She nudge him slightly. “Does the fact you have a kingdom now mean that even if we get caught, we don’t get punished? Loses some of the thrill… don’t you think?”

ask-son-of-laufey:

He was surprised when she hugged him but he hugged her back before she let go. Loki looked down at her and gave her a smile. “I believe all of Asgard became more disgusted with me when they found out….if they found out. I only know you would have knowledge of it through Thor.” He brushed a few of her hairs behind her ear. “Honestly my dear Amora, no I did not. You have seen me at some of my worsts and you know me better than my brother even.”

“If you know not whether they know, then you can ignore them. Continue as you please. They have not been kind to you, and so why should you be so back to them? Except to be the better man.”  Amora cupped the hand that tucked her hair behind her ear, so that she held both of his in hers. “Your brother is a masochist too wrapped up in his own pains to feel for anyone else’s.” She shrugged. “You’ve seen my worsts too.”

ask-son-of-laufey:

Loki glanced at her hand that she had placed on his shoulder and looked back at her as she spoke. “That is how I remember it as well. Us being teased for friends and being told we could not be as close as we were.” He grabbed her hand and held onto it. “Tell me, what do you think of me after all I have done? Do you still find value in our friendship knowing I am dangerous, that I am a mad man, and that I am a Jotunn?” He spoke of his heritage as if it no longer bothered him. It truly didn’t after what he has been through.

Her lips twitched slowly into a rueful smile. “You think I could grow up being your friend and not know you were dangerous and mad?” Pulling him into a hug, her free hand moving to the back of his head. “What you are has no consequence. And as for the part of you that could kill me any minute… I have one of those too.”

Parting, she gripped his and back. “Did you really expect me to be horrified?”

ask-son-of-laufey:

Loki smiled at her and held his staff with a firm grip. “Modest is not exactly a word I would associate you with my dear. You are far from it, boasting to others that you are as powerful as you are. And who knows, maybe I would. Maybe I would not. You will just have to keep guessing.” He paused so he could stand himself in front of her. “Tell me, do you remember it as I do?”

She shrugged. “Maybe I’m aspiring to change. I doubt it too, but sub-consciences are tricky.”

Placing a hand on his shoulder, Amora stared at the pattern of her fingers on the garments he wore. “I cannot tell you, I don’t know how you remember it. I remember the bullying of you and me from the hands of others, the sense of fellowship and camaraderie, the sense that we could beat everything together. I remember the laughs, the long nights in the library or our rooms, soaking in all the knowledge we could… “

ask-son-of-laufey:

“I suppose you can join me then.” He gave her a sly grin. “But know this my beautiful Enchantress, I will keep an eye on you. But what more use do you have for me than sentiment? To become my queen? I suppose not, you made it clear to me once that I could never romance you or become more. Those were fine years eh? Our adolescent years.”

Bending her neck so that her head fell forward in a bow, Amora smiled. “I would expect you to do nothing less, my king. I suppose it is lucky that your eye must fall on something as pleasing as me.” She chuckled lightly. “I have many uses. I am, after all, trained in almost as much magic as you. And I say that only to be modest. Are you saying that if I offered myself to you as your Queen, you would accept it?”

She shook her head. “I have many a fond memory from that era, my dear.”

“My mother always said that if I hadn’t been born blind I would’ve gone into magic,” Sigyn muttered a little wistfully, “of course my father says if I hadn’t been born blind I’d be married and pregnant by now, so it’s saved me that at least - he doesn’t like women, I don’t know why,” she shook her head, “You have no idea how lucky you are to be able to see everything and do things like that - I’d give almost anything to be able to see even for five minutes,”

“You think you have the skill for it?” Amora asked, curiously. “Because… if it’s just about reading the spells and not being able to see if you’re doing them right… I’m sure I could help you?” Wrapping Sigyn in a blanket, she sat down next to her, and made a small retching sound. “No marriage, not yet. I’d have to love, and seeing as that requires actually giving your vulnerabilities to someone to look after… no thank you. As for children…” She sighed. “Seeing is not all that great. You have to look at what’s ugly, not just what’s beautiful.”

Sigyn laughed and nodded, “My brothers told me - it happened on their first day of training - my favourite one was the dragon though - how he managed to get it in and out of the palace unharmed is beyond me but it’s very impressive,” She smiled, accepting the towels and trying to dry herself, “Must take a lot of practice for something like the things he does to work,”

“I helped with the dragon! I… No, some of the magic is in the not knowing.” Giggling, she stuck her tongue out, before remembering, and clapping her hand to her mouth. “It takes a lot of practice, sure. But we treat it as a competition. He normally insists he wins, but when we’ve gone at it properly, we always draw. I think it’s probably something to do with the fact we both know the same spells.”

ask-son-of-laufey:

Loki tilted his head as he looked at her with the fake expression of surprise. “Missed my brand of mischief? Who would have ever thought?” He smiled and laughed. “Oh dear Amora, you and I were friends once. I cannot say it surprises me that you come to me but it does surprise me that you come to me to revive what we once had and to be caught up in my world once more. There is more than what you are revealing to me Amora, what is it?”

“The loss of my only mildly trusted companion to the grips of death is not enough of a reason to come running back to the old and familiar? Oh I’m wounded, sweet.” Clasping her chest with her hand, Amora exaggeratedly sobbed, until it faded into a huge sigh. “If I promise my reasons aren’t nefarious, will you let me continue to not reveal them?”

“Agent,” she replied without much thought. She didn’t go by miss, is was agent. That’s who she was. She raised her eyebrows at the enchantress. “Sounds like a regular soap opera, I don’t know how you expect me to be more interesting than that though.” She watched her playing with her long locks and shook her head. Natasha wasn’t sure how she was expected to entertain this woman.

“Agent, of course. I just thought perhaps it might be better if I wasn’t blurting your profession out loud in a coffee shop, but… as you wish.” Quizzically, she inclined her head. “I’m not sure what a soap opera is… an opera based around a body hygiene product? That doesn’t sound very watch-able.”

“Hello what would an enchantress want with a S.H.I.E.L.D agent?” She looked over at the women as she sat on a rock near a lake.

Staring at her toes as the water lapped over them, Amora replied, “What would The Enchantress… Semantics. They’re important. I’m a… friend, of Thor’s. I’m guessing you’ve heard of him if you’re at SHIELD. And I’m also supposing that makes it easier to have some clue of what I want with you? Or are you as slow as I was led to believe mortals are?”
